Epiphone 1956 Les Paul Standard PRO with New Hard Case, P90s, & Fresh Setup

The Epiphone 1956 Les Paul Standard PRO features a solid mahogany body with a maple veneer top that delivers all the crunch and sustain that can only come from a real Les Paul. The 1956 PRO has single ply cream binding on the top for a beautiful vintage look, and like all Epiphone Les Pauls it features a 14 degree angled headstock that gives you more downward string pressure at the nut. The result is longer sustain with less tuning hang-ups caused by string-tree gadgets. The mahogany neck has a 24-3/4 scale length with a 12 radius and features a slightly beefier 1950s Rounded C profile with a hand set, glued-in neck joint for lifelong stability.

The rosewood fretboard comes with pearloid trapezoid inlays, 22 medium-jumbo frets, a 1-11/16 nut... Yeah it feels great in the player's hand. Did I mention that his 1956 PRO looks amazing in its Chicago Blue finish? The Epiphone 1956 Les Paul Standard PRO features a duet of P-90 PRO pickups for that one-of-a-kind vintage Les Paul sound. The Epiphone P-90 PRO pickups feature Alnico V magnets, the same magnets used in sought-after vintage Les Paul with P-90s from the early 1950s.

Alnico V magnets provide a rich, warm tone with a sparkling high end and a solid low end which makes the 1956 Les Paul Standard PRO one of the most versatile guitars around. Epiphone uses only the highest quality parts for its "PRO" pickups, including ABS plastic bobbins, 1010 cold rolled steel pole shoes and pole screws, Alnico magnets, and the finest magnet wire available. Of course, the Epiphone 1956 Les Paul Standard PRO has Epiphones legendary rock-solid hardware including a LockTone Tune-o-Matic fully adjustable bridge and a Stopbar tailpiece. Epiphones updated design locks the bridge and tailpiece in place with no tools needed for that one-of-a-kind Les Paul sustain. A six-pack of Epiphone's "Deluxe" 18:1 ratio machine heads make tuning easy and reliable. This LP uses 1 diameter potentiometers for better throw, longer life, and reliable service. And the all-metal toggle switch uses rugged spring-steel contacts to ensure years of reliable service and performance. Epiphones proprietary "no spin" output jack features an improved contact shape and heavy-duty spring steel to increase reliability.

Still, I have just given it a complete "post factory" setup. First, the truss rod was checked and adjusted. Then the frets were leveled crowned and polished. These first two steps allowed me to lower the bridge and nut, and yet, still keep it completely buzz free.

The fretboard was conditioned and the nut slots were lubed and polished. The electronics were tested and then given a protective application of contact cleaner and lube. Everything was snugged up and the guitar was polished. It received a fresh set of S.

046 and then the intonation was set. Now, this guitar plays very well and will please even the most demanding professional. The pictures shown in the listing are of the actual instrument you will receive. We are here to assist you M-F. Or, feel free to visit our store online.
