Again, a solid, but non-professional job. There is also a rout that is concealed under the pickguard (see the photos). The instrument has had several pickguards installed and there are extra holes.
There are also extra holes from the removed sideways vibrato. The guitar has had several sets of tuners installed over the years. The instrument retains its original "Les Paul" truss rod cover and it's original back plate. The work that we have done to the instrument: - Drilled and installed stop tailpiece.
Installed a pair of DiMarzio DP103 36th Anniversary PAF pickups. Installed newer Gibson Deluxe tuning keys.Installed and wired up a new wiring harness (jack, new CTS 500K pots, AllParts three way switch). Installed new Gibson vintage style strap buttons. Our tech also set the instrument up and it sounds great. The frets have been poorly dressed at some point in the past, which has lead to some buzzy spots on both E strings on the first five frets or so on each. We do not do fret work here, so we will leave this to the new owner to have addressed.
No notes fret out, but several are very buzzy. The neck is straight, the truss rod works, and the action is low and comfortable. A newer hardshell case is included, but does show wear. Overall, a killer player-grade example of a 1962 Gibson Les Paul SG that won't totally break the bank!
